When a non-required field is included but becomes blank, choosing Shopify's overwrite option can clear its existing value. An omitted column isn't the same thing.

What our report can and cannot prove. We flag changes visible in your two files. We do not have access to Shopify, current inventory, installed apps, or actual variant IDs. A missing product row in a subset is not proof Shopify will delete a product. Changing option values can replace variant IDs, while included blank columns can clear existing values if you select overwrite. Keep a backup and test a small import first. Variant dependencies
Changes to Option1–3 values can create new variant IDs. Including SKU without required option columns can also damage variant structure.
Partial imports
Missing product rows may simply mean you exported a subset. Our report labels ambiguous scope changes as review, not confirmed deletions.
